9 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." - John 9:1-3 (NIV)

Through His encounter with the blind man, Jesus teaches an important lesson: The challenges we face are often part of God's plan. God allows these challenges so that His presence can be displayed in our lives, bringing us closer to Him and preparing us for the future.
Without challenges, we are unable to grow. This is true for organizations as well as individuals. How we handle these "opportunities for growth" is the difference between success and frustration.
